Our Story
Humble Beginnings
Bringing with him an emphasis on personalized service and understanding of customer needs, Brian Gertin founds Gertex Solutions and begins operating out of the basement of his parents' home.

1993
Three's Company
With the company rapidly expanding, brothers Paul Gertin and Michael Gertin join Gertex and together the three brothers oversee the entirety of the company's operations.
Movin' Out
With the company's operations growing, Gertex makes its first major relocation to a 2,000 sq. ft. facility on Alness Street in North York.
1996
1999
Movin' Up
After three more years of spectacular growth in the new facility Gertex makes its second relocation, this time to a 12,000 sq. ft. facility on Champagne Drive.
A Place to Call Home
Gertex makes a third and final move to its current facility at 400 Flint Road in North York. Occupying the largest of three units, the company now has access to 35,000 sq. ft. of space.

Taking Over
With another four years of growth under the company's belt, Gertex takes over the remaining two units at 400 Flint Road. The company now has access to 75,000 sq. ft. at the one facility.
E-Commerce Site
Gertex launches a new e-commerce website. The new service allows clients to view past orders, check stock, download invoices, place new orders and much more.

Gertex Group of Companies
In 2020, the Gertex Group of Companies was formed when Gertex acquired two Ontario-based packaging companies: Freepak Inc. and Impak Packaging. These acquisitions have expanded Gertex's portfolio of products, service area coverage, and available expertise.
A North American Leader
After more than 25 years, Gertex has grown considerably from its humble beginnings in the Gertin home. In addition to its full-range of packaging products, the company now offers customized solutions and consulting services.
With dozens of employees and more than 75,000 sq. ft. of warehouse space, Gertex is positioned for even further growth in the years to come.
