Do you Need a Shrink Tunnel with a Bundle Wrapping System?

No, you do not need a separate shrink tunnel when using a bundle wrapping system. These systems are designed as an all-in-one solution, integrating both the sealing component and the heat tunnel. This means the machine handles the entire process—from wrapping the product in film to heat-sealing it within a single unit, eliminating the need for additional equipment.

Can you use Printed Shrink Film on a Bundling Machine?

Yes, you can use printed Shrink Film on a Bundling machine, but it works best with Single-Roll machines that have print registration capabilities. These machines ensure accurate alignment of the printed design on the film during the wrapping process. However, Two-Roll machines, such as those in the BP series, are less effective for this purpose, as they may not provide the same level of precision required for properly aligning printed designs.

What is a Bullseye and how do I Change the Size of it?

A bullseye is the opening on the short side of a package, often referred to as “handles.” You can adjust the size of the bullseye by changing the width of the film. Using wider film reduces the size of the opening, while narrower film increases it.

Can a Bundle Wrapper do a Full Enclosure?

Yes, a bundle wrapper can create a full enclosure by adding a side-seal unit after completing the end seal. While there are alternative methods to achieve this, the side-seal unit is the most common and effective solution.

It is important to consider the film type before purchasing a Bundle Wrapper. Specifically how thick the shrink film should be and the width of it. Various thickness options are available, ranging from 1 mil to 4 mil, allowing you to choose the desired thickness for your needs. You can select a thickness depending on the weight of the bundle you want to wrap. *The most common shrink film is 2.5 mil which is the LCBO requirement for tall can cases.
